Amma Two Wheeler Scheme
The government of Tamilnadu launched this scheme in February, 2018. Actually this scheme is a financial assistance or subsidy to buy two wheeler vehicle or scooter. Only the working women of Tamilnadu can avail this benefits. They will get 50% discount or Rs. 25000/- for purchasing two wheeler vehicle. That means the government will give subsidy or bear the half of amount and the applicants have to bear half of the amount. All details information about Amma Two Wheeler Scheme is given below.

Benefits of Amma Two Wheeler Scheme

✓ The government will give 50% Subsidy or maximum Rs.25000 to purchase two wheeler vehicle or scooter.
✓ The applicants have to bear the remaining amount of the vehicle.
✓ Differently-Abled women can avail retro-fitted three-wheeler scooter.
✓ They can apply from rural and urban areas of Tamilnadu.
✓ They can avail bank loan to repay the remaining amount of the vehicle.
✓ The subsidy amount will be credited to their bank account.
Eligibility Criteria for Amma 2-Wheeler Scheme:
To be eligible for the scheme the applicants should have the following criteria.
✓ They should engage individually or collectively as a group for a livelihood activity/wage employment.
✓ The women who are commuting long distances can apply.
✓ The applicants’ earning must be the primary source of income for the family.
✓ The women who are registered in organized or unorganized sector.
✓ The women who are employed in Shops and Establishments.
✓ Self-employed women.
✓ The women who are working in the following sectors or departments are also eligible…
• Private Institutions.
• Government Aided Organisations.
• Panchayats Level Federations.
• Mavatta Makkal Kattral Maiyam.
• Banking.
• ASHA workers.
✓ The annual income of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs.2,50,000/-
✓ The applicants must be the resident of Tamilnadu.
✓ The applicants should have a valid two wheeler driving license.
✓ The applicant’s age must be between 18 to 40 years.
✓ Only woman beneficiary is eligible for the scheme.
✓ The applicant should have appeared for the class 8th examination (Passed/Failed).
✓ Priority will be given to shortlist the names of the beneficiary.
• The women who are residing in remote places.
• The women who are residing in hilly regions.
• Women-headed households will be given priority
• Deserted women will be given priority.
• Destitute widows will be given priority
• Differently-abled women will be given priority
• Unmarried women aged above 35 years
• Scheduled Caste/Tribes women will be given priority
• Transgender will be given priority.

Step #1: Download the application form online from official portal or visit your Block Offices, Urban Local Body offices, and the Collectorates and collect application form free of cost.
Step #2: Fill the application form with required information and submit it along with necessary documents to respective Block Offices or Urban Local Body offices, and the Collectorates.
Step #3: Then after submitting application form you will be given an unique application number or acknowledgement number. Keep the application number for future reference.
