Post Metric Scholarship is available for Bihar State students belonging to backward classes and economically backward classes.
Eligibility criteria of Post-metric Scholarship for BC-ABC
Eligibility criteria for Post Metric Scholarship for Backward Classes and Economically Backward Classes are given below: –
✓ The applicant should be residing in the state of Bihar.
✓ The applicant must read in a post matriculation class.
✓ An applicant must have studied an accredited post-matriculation or post-secondary course.
✓ Applicant who belong to backward class and ABC category.
✓ The annual income of the family should not exceed 1.5 lakhs.
✓ The applicant should study in a state or centrally recognized institution.
✓ If any student completes any course with a scholarship, he is not eligible for any other equivalent course.
✓ Only two male applicants from the same family are eligible for the scholarship.
✓ If any student is already receiving a scholarship from another institution, they are not eligible for this scholarship.
✓ Candidates pursuing education in the same phase after completing one phase of education and after B.A or M.A will not be eligible in other subjects like I.A or B.Com.

Under this scheme, the government is going to give scholarships to OBC students of classes 1 to 10. Scholarships are awarded to students studying in schools recognized and established by the state government.

Chief Minister’s Extremely Backward Class Meritorious Scheme
Under this scholarship scheme, students belonging to the EBC category will get Rs. 1,0000 / – as prizes for the best performance among academic exams. This amount is given to students who have achieved first class in 10th class. The main objective of the scheme is to encourage students for further education, especially for rural students.
