Kanyashree Prakalpa is a scheme announced by CM Mamata Banerjee on 8th March, 2013. It is a type of scholarship for girl students.This scheme  was introduced by Department of Women Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal. Kanyashree means girl students. This scheme is designed for girl students who are studying in the different government and govt aided school of West Bengal.

Objective of Kanyashree Prakalpa

The government of West Bengal announced a scheme named ” Kanyashree” for girl students with some objectives. This objectives are discussed below.

• To send more girl students in school.

• To reduce early marriage of girl students in West Bengal.

• To provide financial help to the girls of poor family.

• To encourage the delay of marriages of girls until they reach the age of 18.

• To help  girl students to continue their study for a long time.

• To reduce dropouts among girl students of poor families.

Key Features of Kanyashree Prakalpa

This scheme has some features. Only the key Features of Kanyashree Prakalpo are discussed below.

• This scholarship is given annually and One time grant.

• This Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme is divided into three levels.

#1 : K1 ( Annual scholarship Rs. 1000)
#2 : K2 ( One time scholarship Rs. 25000)
#3 : K3 ( Monthly scholarship Rs. 2500 for science stream students and monthly scholarship Rs. 2000 for arts stream students)

Eligibility for Kanyashree K1 level:

✓ Age of the students should be between 13 to 17 (before turning to 18 years)
✓ Should be unmarried.
✓ Applicants should have a bank account on her name.
✓ studying in classes VIII to XII
✓ Student’s family income should be less than Rs.120000

Eligibility for Kanyashree K2 level:

✓ Age of the students should be between 18 to 19 years.
✓ Should be unmarried.
✓ Applicants should have a bank account on her name.
✓ studying in Higher  education or training.
✓ Student’s family income should be less than Rs.120000

Eligibility for Kanyashree K3 level:

✓ Students who has registered for K2 scheme are only eligible for K3 scheme.
✓ Applicants should have a bank account on her name.
✓ To be eligible for Kanyashree K3 scheme, students have to pass Undergraduate degree with at least 45% marks and took admission on any Postgraduate course under any University.

✓ No  maximum age limit for Kanyashree K3

Documents required for Kanyashree Prakalpo:

Some documents are required to apply for Kanyashree Prakalpo. The applicants should submit offline Application Form with the following documents to their institution.

✓ Age proof document – Copy of Birth Certificate

✓ A statement declaration of being unmarried

✓ Income certificate

✓ Certificate of enrolment and attendance by Head of Institution of Education or Training

✓ Copy of Certificate of Disability (for handicapped girls)

✓ Photo copy of bank passbook

Kanyashree Application Form:

To apply for Kanyashree Prakalpo the applicants should follow few steps.

Step 1 : Collect Application Form from your institution( School/College).

Step 2 : Then Fill in the application form with personal information and bank account details.

Step 3 : Application form should be signed by applicant and parents.

Step 4 : Attached the application form with above documents.

Step 5 : Submit to your institution.

Kanyashree Status Online:

After submitting kanyashree application form to institution, applicants can check their kanyashree status online. Just they need to follow few steps to check or track kanyashree Application.

Step 1 : Go to kanyashree Prakalpo official portal @https://wbkanyashree.gov.in

Step 2 : on the homepage above click on Track Application Status.

Step 3 : Select year and level of scheme from the drop-down menu.

Step 4 : Enter your date of birth and Application ID.

Step 5 : Enter Captcha image.

Step 6 : Click on submit button.

Finally your application status will be displayed on the screen.

Kanyashree Intra Login :

If you are official staff and want to login Kanyashree intra, just follow few steps.

Step 1 : Go to official portal of Kanyashree @https://www.wbkanyashree.gov.in

Step 2 : Click on menu bar at the left side of the official portal.

Step 3 : From the drop-down menu click on “Intra Login”

Step 4 : Enter information such as
              • Your Designation
              • Name of Stake holder
              • User Name
              • Password
              • Captcha code

Step 5 : Click on ” Login” button.

Kanyashree Online Grievance Submit:

If you have any questions about Kanyashree, you can easily submit or register grievance online. Just follow few steps.

Step 1 : Go to official website @wbkanyashree.gov.in

Step 2 : In the below of the portal under Navigation menu you will see ” Grievance ” option. Click on that.

Step 3 : Then click on ” Register your grievance”

Step 4 : Enter Kanyashree Application ID and year.

Step 5 : Click on ” Show” button.
