Types of Kerala Ration Card
There are three types of Kerala ration card.
These three types of ration card have different benefits such as…..
1. Antyodaya Anna Yojana cards: Only the weaker section of Kerala gets this ration card.
Benefits : The family of Antyodaya Anna Yojana card holder gets 35kg of essential commodity (Rice/wheat) free of cost.
2. Priority cards: The family below poverty line gets this card.
Benefits : 5 kg of food grain is given to all the members of the family.
3. Non- Priority cards: This card is given to all the above poverty line ( APL) family.
Benefits : 2kg of rice is given to all the members of the family.
Eligibility Criteria
✓ The applicants must be the Resident of Kerala.
✓ The applicants should not have any other ration card.
Documents required
The applicants should have some documents to apply for ration card in Kerala. These documents are mentioned below.
✓ A photo identify card can be
• Voter ID card
• Driving License
• Any Photo Id card issued by the Government
• Passport
✓ The applicants should submit any of the following Residential Proof

Kerala Ration Card Application Process
The applicants can apply for new ration card through two process – Through Akshaya Centers or Through TSO or DSO Office
Apply for Ration Card through Akshaya Centers Kerala : If you want to apply for new ration card through Akshaya Center, you can do by following the instructions.
Step 1: You should visit your nearest Akshaya Center.
Step 2: Then collect the application form.
Step 3: Fill in Application form and Submit along with the relevant document
Step 4: Then the official will verify your application.
Step 5: After that you have to pay the fees for the ration card
Step 6: Your card will be sent to you after printing.
Apply for New Ration Card through TSO or DSO Office
Step 1: You should visit your nearest TSO or DSO Office
Step 2: Then collect the application form.
Step 3: Fill in Application form and Submit along with the relevant document
Step 4: Then the official will verify your application.
Step 5: After that you have to pay the application fees for the ration card
Step 6: Your card will be sent to you after printing. Wait for few weeks.

Step #2: On the homepage you will see New Ration Card Application.
Step #3: Click on the link and submit all the required information.
Step #4: Submit the application.
Step #5: Then Click on the activation link sent to you.
Step #6: Login the website using a login ID and password.
Step #7: Upload the necessary documents in the PDF format.
Step #8: Take the print out of the application form for future reference.
Step #9: Submit the application form to the TSO centre along with the required documents.
